  • Aircraft Inspection

Before operation, users must inspect the aircraft to ensure safe work:

1. Check the arm buckle and the aircraft frame 

2. Expand the aircraft propellers by 180° without damage or deformations.

3. Install the battery securely and fully charge it.

4. The LED lights should function properly with a solid yellow light.

5. Fully charge the remote controller.

6. The motors operate smoothly without any abnormal sounds.

7. Connect the app to the aircraft without error reports.


  • Material Calibration

1. Roller Selection

Select the appropriate roller according to the materials used in this operation. The FP400 seed spreading drone is equipped with two types of roller. When the dosage per mu is less than 5kg, use small roller. When the dosage per mu is more than 5kg, use large roller.



2. Roller Replacement Process (Small Roller as an Example)

(1) Prepare a 2.5mm hex screwdriver in advance.

(2) Loosen the four screws that secure the drive motor. Pull the drive motor backward and remove quantifier inside the roller.

(3) Rotate the prepared small roller quantifier inward for installation.

(4) After installing the small roller quantifier in place, align the groove on the drive shaft with the groove on the drive motor, and then secure the four screws of the drive motor.


3. Calibration Process

Due to the different densities of different materials, it is necessary to calibrate the spreader when using different materials. Otherwise, it may result in significant dosage errors and affect the effectiveness of the operation. The calibration procedure is as follows:

(1) Place the drone on the plain surface. Place an empty container directly below the outlet.

(2) Open the Agriculture Assistant App. Click the spreading setting and press the reset button of the weight sensor. Check the values of weight sensors No.1, No.2, No.3, and No.4.

(3) Click the calibration button and select or add the material. Choose the roller based on the actual usage per mu and the corresponding range of usage per mu. Then the fan speed can be matched (the parameters of the fan can be set according to test results).

(4) Empty the tank and click the next step.

(5) Click the "peel" button.

(6) Fill the tank with the material that needs calibration and click the "finish" button.

(7) Click "start calibration" and wait until the remote controller indicates "calibration succeed". Check the calibrated curve, then click the "finish" button.



1. Rice seeds spreading:

   - Soak the rice seeds in advance for 1-2 days in water of around 30 degrees Celsius until the seed sprouts are about 1-3mm long. Then spread them out and let them dry until they can be held tightly in the hand without sticking.

2. Calibration:

   - (1) Place the aircraft horizontally during calibration as over large inclination angle may cause calibration failure.

   - (2) Avoid shaking the aircraft during calibration as it can also lead to calibration failure.

   - (3) Do not apply additional force to the tank during calibration, such as pressing it with your hand.

   - (4) Fill the tank with materials as much as possible; insufficient materials can result in inaccurate amount of usage per mu and deviations in operational results.

   - (5) If the calibration curve is not smooth enough after calibration, try calibration for more times.


  • Parameter Setting

Users can refer to the spreading parameter table provided by TopXGun official and adjust the operation parameters based on the actual working environment:

1. Adjust the flight speed to match the recommended roller speed, only when the flight speed and roller speed are matched can achieve better operation effects.


2. Based on the actual operation results, increase the wind speed of the outer fan to achieve better uniformity if the materials on the outer and middle sides of are too much. Similarly, the wind speed of other fans can be adjusted to achieve better uniformity as well.



  • Test Spreading Check

When spreading, users must try spreading for two flight routes in advance and inspect the spreading width and uniformity in the field. Check for repetition and omission and adjust the fan power accordingly. Only when the desired effect is achieved can the formal operations be initiated.
